The deregulation of WA’s electricity industry means that Alinta Energy can now supply electricity to contestable business customers.
If your business spends over $9,000 a year on electricity and is connected to the South West Interconnected System (SWIS), then you may be contestable and able to buy your electricity from Alinta Energy.

Continuing Supply Tariff
The Continuing Supply Tariff is an interim tariff that will come into effect if, after your current supply agreement with Alinta Energy has ended, you continue to use electricity without entering into a new supply agreement with Alinta Energy. The other terms of the agreement that has ended will continue to apply.
As at 1 July 2016, the Continuing Supply Tariff is structured as follows:

Standard Form Contract Price
If you have not signed an agreement with Alinta Energy and you consume less than 160 MWh per year, the Electricity Supply Standard Form Contract Terms and Conditions will apply and the Price will be the maximum amount permitted by the regulations under the Electricity Industry Act 2004 (WA). The current Standard Form Contract Price is the same as the Continuing Supply Tariff (see table above).
Under the Electricity Supply Standard Form Contract Terms and Conditions, we may also charge you Fees, which from 1st January 2018 will include the network access charges issued by the Network Operator. The network access charges issued by Western Power are available here and are based on the Reference Service and Reference Tariff applicable to your Supply Address.
